Syria Attack News: At least 11 civilians have died in a terrorist attack in Syria. The attack took place in the area of central Syria. The dreaded terrorist organization ISIS is being held responsible for the terrorist attack. An organization monitoring the war has given information about this attack on Sunday (February 12).

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that ISIS attacked some 75 people on Saturday (February 11) when they went to the eastern rural area of Homs, according to media reports quoted by AFP news agency. I was collecting truffles (a type of mushroom) in the Palmyra area. The war monitor said the ISIS attack killed 10 civilians, including a woman and a member of the Syrian regime forces, while others were missing.

IS terrorists attacked with machine guns

The Times of Israel, an English-language news website, said the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported the attack but understated the death toll. IS militants opened fire with machine guns and killed four civilians, including a woman, according to SANA. It was told in the report that ten other people were injured in the attack, some of whom were seriously injured.

Terrorist organization did a similar attack in 2021 as well

According to the report, in recent years many people, including women and children, have been targeted while gathering truffles in the central, northeastern and eastern regions of Syria. In April 2021, the terrorist organization carried out a similar attack in a rural area east of the central city of Hama, kidnapping 19 people (mostly civilians).
