NEET PG 2023: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG 2023) The Supreme Court will hear the petition to postpone NEET PG 2023 today i.e. on 24 February 2023. The Supreme Court has listed the matter for today. The petitions seeking postponement of NEET PG exam will be heard and the decision will be taken today.
According to sources, Justice S. Ravindra Bhat and Dipankar Dutta will hear the petition to postpone NEET PG 2023. Two writ petitions were filed seeking delay in the PG medical entrance examination. The candidates have demanded to postpone the NEET PG exam for 2 to 3 months. To reduce the gap between the result declaration and the commencement of the counseling process, the candidates are pushing for the exam date to be held by the end of May or June. As of now, the result of NEET PG 2023 is expected to be declared by March 31, 2023.
The Union Health Ministry had extended the NEET PG internship deadline and cut-off to August 11, 2023. Based on this the Medical Counseling Committee, MCC will conduct the counseling process from the month of September. Due to this time period, candidates have said that they will remain inactive and unemployed for 5 to 6 months. So, the candidates are insisting on giving the exam late.
The demand to postpone NEET PG 2023 has been going on for a long time. Doctors, medical associations, NEET PG aspirants and many others have organized protests, sit-ins on social media platforms like Twitter to voice their demands. Before the Supreme Court hearing, the Telangana High Court also heard the matter of NEET PG postponement and suggested that NBE should consider revising the exam date. Today the Supreme Court will give its verdict on the same.
