MG Gloster, the Shanghai-based car manufacturer owned by SAIC Motor, is set to launch the Black Storm edition of its best-selling SUV on May 29. The new model is designed to appeal to consumers who are looking for a powerful and stylish vehicle that can handle any terrain.
The all-new Gloster Black Storm Edition is set to make its debut in a 4X4 model. As the name suggests, this newest addition will come in an all-black avatar with a black color scheme and red accents on the bumper, ORVMs and side panels. The customers will also get the stylish yet unique Black Storm badging on its rear profile. As far as the cabin is concerned, it will boast an all-black color treatment with dark upholstery and red ambient lighting.
The all-new king-size SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that will be available in two different tuning levels. The single turbo model will generate 161 bhp of max power and 375 Nm of peak torque, while the twin-turbo variant will churn out a whopping 215bhp of power and 480 Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The giant SUV will continue to compete against the best in its class with features like dual climate control, ADAS technology, automatic panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, voice commands and autonomous parallel parking. The Dark Edition of the 7 seater will be a force to be reckoned with.
