IMF India’s GDP Growth Outlook: The International Monetary Fund has given a very important statement on Tuesday regarding the world economy and the Indian economy. Regarding the world economy, the IMF has told that the global growth in the year 2023 is likely to be less than before. According to the IMF, the world economy will grow at a rate of 2.9 percent in the year 2023. At the same time, in the year 2022, its estimate was 3.4 percent. On the other hand, if we talk about the year 2024, the world economy can once again see a boom and it can grow at the rate of 3.1 percent. On the other hand, talking about India’s economy, India’s economy will be the fastest growing economy in the world in this quarter. India’s economy is growing at a rate of 6.8 per cent in the current quarter, which is likely to be 6.1 per cent in the first quarter of the next financial year.
India is the bright spot of the world economy
Giving you an important statement about the Indian economy, Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas, chief economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has said that the Indian economy will grow at a rate of 6.8 percent in the last quarter of October-December and the quarter of January-March. After this, in the first quarter of the next financial year 2023-24, a decline in India’s GDP will be recorded and it will grow at the rate of 6.1 percent. Even after this decline, the Indian economy will act as a ‘bright spot’ for the world economy. Along with this, the IMF economist has also said that in the financial year 2025, India’s economy will once again grow at the rate of 6.8 percent. In such a situation, many external factors will also be included in it.
What will be the condition of Asia?
On the other hand, according to the IMF report, growth of 5.3 percent and 5.4 percent can be registered in Asia in the years 2023 and 2024. Growth in Asia will depend on the growth of China. In Saas 2022, due to Zero Kovid policy in China, a huge decline in GDP was recorded and it reached 4.3 percent. In China, a decline in GDP of 0.2 percent can be recorded between January and March and it can reach 3.0 percent. In such a situation, it is for the first time in the last 40 years that China’s GDP has been recorded less than the growth of the world economy. At the same time, in the year 2023, China’s economy can grow at the rate of 5.2 percent.
