Son of drug mafia was arrested on Thursday morning
Ovidio was arrested on Thursday morning in the city of Culiacan in Sinaloa state. He was taken by helicopter to Mexico City and lodged in a high security prison. After this the gang members of Ovidio started the riots. They blocked roads, set vehicles on fire and also fired at two planes. According to the Defense Minister, no civilian died during this period.

Joe Biden will reach Mexico tomorrow
Strict security arrangements have been made in Sinaloa state following the riots. For the safety of common citizens, 1 thousand additional soldiers have been sent. The North American Leaders Summit is also to be held in Mexico from January 9-11. US President Joe Biden will reach Mexico on January 8 to join it.
America had kept a reward of Rs 41.3 crore
In December 2022, the US had announced a reward of $ 5 million, or Rs 41.3 crore, to the person giving information about Ovidio and his brothers. According to the US State Department, Ovidio and his brothers run 11 methamphetamine labs in Sinaloa. Where 1,300 to 2,200 kg of drugs are produced every month.

Father’s drug network runs Ovideo
Ovidio, 32, is known in the world of drug trafficking as ‘The Mouse’. Together with his brothers, he operates the drug network of father El Chapo. It is counted among the world’s largest drug networks. El Chapo, 65, is serving a life sentence in a US prison. He was sentenced in 2019 for drug trafficking and money laundering.

Ovidio arrested after 6 months of preparation
