Chinese Drone Recovered: Drones are now being used by Pakistan for drug smuggling. BSF is also running a campaign regarding this.
Drone In Punjab: In Amritsar, Punjab, the Border Security Force has recovered a drone from Pakistan. This drone has been found in Shahzada village of Amritsar. According to the information, the drone is Chinese, about which the security agencies have started investigation. Along with this, the Border Security Force has also started a search operation in the area.
Three weeks back, BSF shot down a Pakistani drone in Amritsar sector. A BSF official said, “On the intervening night of February 2-3, at around 2.30 am, BSF personnel shot down a Pakistani drone which had intruded into the rear Kakkar border post area in Amritsar sector.”
Drugs recovered!
The drone was recovered between the border fence and zero line. A packet of banned material wrapped in yellow polythene was also recovered. According to media reports, the drone had a packet weighing about 5 kg, which was suspected to be heroin. According to BSF officials, the quadcopter also had a Chinese label with a translation in broken English. It is believed that the drone would have been assembled.
At the same time, before this, on February 1 also, BSF had recovered 2.6 kg of narcotics. BSF officials said that the narcotics are suspected to have been dropped from a drone on the border.
