‘Has been going on for decades’
Foreign Minister Jaishankar had said in an interview last week that the coming of BBC documentary is not sudden. Look who is supporting it. This has been going on for decades. Its purpose is to run an anti-India agenda.

What is the matter?
Last month, Income Tax officials conducted surveys at BBC offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. The action was taken by the Income Tax Department in the midst of a controversy over a BBC documentary about the 2002 Gujarat riots. Many Vipshree leaders had criticized the central government regarding this.

Let us tell you that recently David Rutley, Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of Britain also said that we are standing for BBC. We fund the BBC, we think the BBC World Service is important. We want the BBC to have editorial independence.
