Atrocities on minorities in Pakistan! Hindu girl kidnapped, acid thrown on Christian girl

**Acid attack on Christian woman in Pakistan**

The latest case has come from Karachi city of Pakistan. Here a Muslim youth named Kamran Allah Baksh is accused of throwing acid on a Christian girl named Sunita.

According to media reports, the girl had refused to convert and marry. The girl has been badly injured after the acid was thrown and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Please tell that this incident took place on 1 February 2023 and a case has also been registered in this regard. Police have arrested the accused. During the preliminary investigation, the accused told the police that he was in love with the victim one-sided and this was the only reason for the attack.

Kamran escaped from the spot after the attack

According to media reports, this incident happened in Frere police station area of Karachi. The victim Sunita Masih is 19 years old who lives with her family in Masoom Shah Colony. Accused Kamran is said to be the neighbor of the victim. According to Sunita’s uncle John Masih, on February 1, the day of the incident, Sunita had left home for some work in Karachi’s Kala Pul area. She was about to board a bus from the cantonment area when Kamran threw acid on her face.

Kamran fled from the spot after the attack. Sunita’s body has burnt 20 percent due to acid attack and she is currently undergoing treatment. Sunita said that after Kamran’s attack, she had severe burns on her face, legs and eyes and she fell on the road and started crying. It was told that Kamran was also pressurizing Sunita to leave Christianity and accept Islam.

Hindu girl kidnapped

Minorities are also being continuously targeted in Mirpurkhas city of Pakistan. Here an incident of atrocities against Hindus has come to the fore. According to media reports, some Muslim youths kidnapped a minor Hindu girl (17 years) in Mirpurkhas. The accused carried out the incident when the victim was returning from Mirpurkhas post office.

‘…forcibly marry’

Hindu leader of Mirpurkhas Rajinder Sharma has expressed concern about other minorities including Hindus in Pakistan. He said that Hindu daughters are not safe in Pakistan. Rajinder Sharma further said, ‘Pakistan government has failed to protect them… Muslim youths are abducted and forcefully married and then converted to Islam.’
