In protest against the government’s decision, Ashneer Grover tweeted, “RIP – to the real money gaming industry in India. If the government is thinking that people will put in Rs 100 to play at Rs 72 pot entry (28% gross GST) and if they win Rs 54 (after platform fee) then they will also have to pay 30% TDS. For this he will get a free swimming pool in his living room in the first monsoon – so it is not going to happen.”
