After iPhone, AirPods will also be made in India… Will the price of Airpods be reduced for you now?
Apple’s wireless earbuds will be produced in Foxconn’s new factory in India. This $ 200 million investment is a sign of Foxconn’s faith in the Indian market.
Many of you may already know that premium product manufacturer Apple is preparing to start manufacturing AirPods in India. The company has also recently shifted a lot of its manufacturing business to India because Apple had some problems in China. The iPhone is still being manufactured in India, but now a Reuters report has revealed that Apple is now preparing for the manufacturing of AirPods in India as well. According to a Reuters report, the tech giant has inked a deal with its supplier Foxconn to build the AirPods in India.
Investment of so much money for the factory
It is being said that Foxconn has invested $ 200 million to build a new factory in India. The new factory will be devoted to the production of Apple’s wireless earbuds. Even though the margin Foxconn will receive for producing the earbuds is lower than what it receives for producing iPhones, the company has accepted Apple’s deal. On the other hand, there is also a rumor that Apple has sought to build a factory in India because it wants to reduce its credibility on China.
Reports are emerging that Apple is planning to shift some of its iPhone production away from China in order to reduce its dependence on the world’s largest manufacturing market. While the company is still manufacturing the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone SE in India in collaboration with Foxconn and Wistron, it is said that Apple is not planning to reduce the prices of its smartphones. This could mean that AirPods lovers may have to pay a bit more for their favorite earphones.
